The iCapTag™ Technology
The iCapTag™ Technology can be used in R&D Labs and Manufacturing Facilities
The iCapTag™ technology is the first product on the market today that can be used to purify tagless non-mAb proteins for both R&D and manufacturing. Inteins are protein segments with the ability to excise themselves from the host proteins through the process of protein splicing. Engineered self-cleaving inteins can used for recombinant protein purification and for other applications.
An additional benefit of this technology is that a simple single-column purification can result in high purity of the target protein, where the release of the target protein from the column is triggered by a change in pH.
